Setting up your Bitcoin wallet
A Bitcoin wallet is and isn't different from the wallet you use everyday, the similarities that the two share is that not unlike your physical wallet your Bitcoin wallet must be kept safe and secure. The way that is different is the way you will keep it safe, there are two options when it coms to this process. Option number one is to keep your wallet offline and store it on a harddrive this is the most secure method and the least likely to be stolen from however it is the hardest to set up. Option two is to set up a wallet with a website or service that will host your wallet for you, these are easy to set up and can be managed easily however with this ease of access there are two cons number one is that they are easier to hack into and number two is that these services take a small transaction fee. Before you start using Bitcoin for any serious transaction, be sure to read what you need to know and take appropriate steps to secure your wallet. Also always remember that it is your responsibility to choose your wallet carefully and adopt good practices in order to protect your money.
there are several other pages I've created as a guide to help those of you getting started with Bitcoin.
